Scooby Dooby Doo!!!

Today we had JJ's birthday party, it was a Scooby Doo theme, very fun! Some nasty theives stole the presents but the kids were able to track them down in no time! It was a great day! And to show-off my wonderful husbands many talents here is the cake that he made for the party. He's such a show-off!:)

Happy Easter and Happy Birthday!

Today we had double reason to celebrate, not only was it the day our Savior rose from the dead but it is also JJ's 5th birthday. We had a great morning at church and then came home to hunt for Easter eggs.

For dinner JJ got to plan the menu, all he wanted was "Doggie Mac" which is macaroni and cheese with cut up hotdogs in it. I threw in some additional Easter favorites because, as good as it sounds, doggie mac just doesn't cut it for Easter dinner!

Birthdays Galore!!

Springtime in the Schmidt house means LOTS of birthdays! This past week we attended 4 birthday parties for various family members. A brief summary, one surprise party, one McDonalds party, one multi-child party (celebrating lots of birthdays with one party), one Star Wars party, and LOTS and LOTS of cake! It was a great, busy, week!

Happy Birthday Alli!!

Today my sweet Allison turned 3 and based on the morning we had I don't think 3 is going to be a good year for her. At one point JJ asked, "Mom, do all kids cry when they turn 3?" But we had a happy day anyway! We went to Applebees for dinner and here is the birthday hat Mr. Daniel made for her.

Here is her cake, some people (Ryan) didn't think I could make my own child's birthday cake but I thought it turned out pretty good!

First and Last Day

Today was a big day for Allison, it was her last day of therapy. After 3 years, 3 times a week I figure we have had around 450 therapy sessions in her life, I was not sad to see it end. After our last therapy this morning and a quick lunch Alli had her first day of preschool. She was so excited! I thought I handled it very well, there were no tears shed. Alli is the only girl in a class of 10 boys, I'm not really sure how I feel about that. Anyway, her teacher said she already has everyone wrapped around her finger so I guess it went well!

Ninjas!

Last night JJ was invited by a friend to Ninja Night at his Karate class. He totally loved it! He needs to work on his form a little but informed me that he is on his way to being 'a real live ninja'. After which he asked me, "Mom, are ninjas real or just pretend?"

And here's Alli, bummed that she can't participate but providing her own entertainment instead!:)

Swimming Lessons

The kids started swimming lessons today at the Carribean Cove Water Park, JJ loved it and, when she wasn't running away, Allison seemed to enjoy it too!
