Snowmen

JJ has been fighting a bad cold so he and Ryan stayed home from church today. When Allison and I got home this is what we found.

JJ was so excited to see the snow all he wanted to do was build a snowman, no matter how bad he felt.

And, yes, that is a kazoo as the nose, we even have carrots they could have used. My husband is very resourceful!:)

Back to Reality

Well, vacation is almost over, tomorrow we head back to Indiana, where I hear it's a chilling 12 degrees!! It was a great week, although I've come to realize that vacation just isn't the same with small children, I'm more tired now than when we left! Here are some random pictures from the week.

Hanging out with the Anheuser-Busch Clydesdale's.
Ryan giving Minnie some love.:)

It's been fun but we're all ready to get home!

Breakfast

Today we had breakfast with Mickey and friends. JJ was very excited since he didn't get to see Mickey at the Magic Kingdom. It was very cool, all the characters come up to your table and greet each kid. JJ loved it, Alli hated it.
Here is JJ with Pluto.

Alli hated Minnie.
And she ran as fast as she could from Donald.
So here we are with Mickey, the only way I could get her within 5 feet of a character without her screaming. It actually became a little bit of a game at one point!:)

And for those of you that enjoy a good food shot, here was one of the highlights (for the kids at least) of breakfast, Mickey shaped waffles. Too bad they didn't taste as good as they looked!

Disney Rocks

Ok, I've never been a Disney fanatic, I know there are people out there that just think Disney is the greatest but I was never one of them. Well, I have to admit, I am now! We had such a great day at Magic Kingdom, it wasn't crowded at all, the longest we waited for any ride was 20 min and most rides we walked right onto. It was so fun to see how excited the kids got, especially JJ, every little thing was exciting to him, even the tram ride from the car!

Here is the family with the castle.

I was afraid how Alli would do with the characters and, as you can see, Pooh was sort of holding her so she couldn't get away, but at least she wasn't crying.

JJ LOVED the teacups!!

And he thought Buzz Lightyear was the coolest. And Ryan thought the Buzz Lightyear ride was the coolest!

Alli loved the Aladin Magic Carpet Ride.

And the picture doesn't do it justice, the castle was all lit up with Christmas lights to simulate snow, it was beautiful!!

After 11 hours we were all exhausted but happy, I'm already planning a trip for next year, let's hope Schmidt and Young have a great year so we can afford it!:)

Sea World

Today we hit Sea World, none of us has ever been to Sea World so it was a new experience for us. JJ was excited to see "Shampoo" (I have no idea why he calls Shamu that!) It was fun but cold! It was 64 degrees here today, although I know it's colder in Indiana!!:)
Here is the family with the SeaWorld dolphin, which Alli was, of course, terrified of!

The kids and I at the underwater dolphin viewing area.

JJ at the Shampoo Show.:)

And Alli was so worn out she just couldn't stay awake for Shamu.

Tomorrow we're going to Magic Kingdom, yea!!

Sunny (Sort of) Florida

Today we arrived in Orlando for a fun-filled family vacation. After a LONG two hour flight that consisted of myself sandwiched in my seat between two men (neither of which was my husband) with Allison (who mistook the airplane for her own personal playground) in my lap. After she woke up the guy next to me by hitting him with her book, I seriously started questioning our decision to fly. Anyway, we got here to 85 degree weather. Here are a couple pics, not too exciting but it was the best I could do today. Tomorrow is Sea World!

Head Injury

What happens with you run in the bathroom with wet feet???? And what happens when your dad is a construction dude instead of a doctor???? This..................

An ace bandage that is holding an ice pack to the 'injury'. Btw, the 'injury' was barely a bump, talk about drama!!
